The Galician Herb Spirit G.D. controls traditional grape spirits produced in installations registered by the Regulatory Board, obtained by adding infusions of traditional herbs to Galician Grape Spirit or distilling it together with the herbs.
Characteristics
“Galician herb spirit” should have a sugar content of less than 100 g/l. Its alcohol level should be between 37.5 and 50% by volume.
At least of the following herbs must be used to make Galician herb spirit: mint, rosemary, marjoram, dill, coriander, liquorice, fennel, nutmeg, cinnamon and verbena.
